sister organizations like AISCCON, AIFPA Chennai & NFRP Palghat. The combined strength through its
affiliates/associates & allies goes beyond 10 lakh .Bharat Pensioners Samaj (BPS)was founded in 1955 by Justice (Retd.)
Shankar Saran of Allahabad High Court, headquartered at New Delhi. It is an All India Federation of Pensioners’
Associations of all Central Govt; State govt ; PSUs, EPS &NPS pensioners’.

I am immensely pleased to note that the Bharat Pensioners Samaj, the largest and oldest organization of Pensioners in India founded in 1955, is bringing out a Souvenir on the occasion of its 59th Annual General Meeting at Agra on 9th November, 2014. The Souvenir contains important orders , circulars issued by Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare. It also contains useful tips on health care, income tax and life after retirement. I am sure that the Souvenir would be of help of all Pensioners for resolving their post retirement issues.
Bharat Pensioners Samaj, a conglomerate of around 650 organizations of pensioners from different departments with branches spread all over India, has been looking after not only the welfare of pensioners and their post retirement issues, but also actively involving in Social Welfare activities for the good of the Civil Society through the ambitious venture Sankalp. of my Ministry.
I wish the Bharat Pensioners Samaj all success in taking forward its vision and mission through this Annual General Meeting at Agra.

Pensioners' Portal - is eGovernance Initiative of Department of Pension & Pensioners Welfare Goverment of India. It serves as a one stop information source for the pensioners of Government of India (especially central civil pensioners) across the country.
Need of the hour for pensioners is to communicate freely with one and all pensioner members of assns, affiliates, associates, MOU partners, civil society, leaders both of National & Local level, MEDIA and last but not the least those retiring in the near future.
